Favorite Reborn Doll: January 2012
This baby girl is a breathing, sleeping doll that is absolutely adorable. Every breath she takes reminds me of a life to be cherished, how very special every moment in our own lives are. Baby Andrea quickly became a favorite in the nursery with her realistic breathing movement and ‘so cute’ little face. You can watch or hear her breathe by just touching her tummy or pressing your ear near her. She is a 10″ specialty doll for collectors (not a child’s toy) and has been hand crafted with RealTouch baby-soft vinyl skin, micro-rooted hair, sweet wispy baby eyelashes and tiny, hand-painted fingernails and toenails. She’s dressed in a pink knit tee shirt lightly decorated with tiny satin bows, a matching cap, booties and fabric diaper. She is a true to life treasure just waiting for you to call her your own and give her a name. A limited edition, collectible reborn, available through AngelSupply.

Reborning News: March 2011
Some of the lifelike dolls you’re about to see are so realistic they make passersby do a double take. In fact it was reported that in Australia last year, police officers smashed a car window parked on the road to rescue an unconscious baby from a locked vehicle. The baby in question was a reborn doll. The same happened in America in 2009.
Before you start thinking that the police in either country weren’t too bright you’ll have to see some of these creations. From their skin tone to their micro-rooted hair (done with special tools and techniques), a perfectly proportioned and weighted body, these babies not only look and feel real they also breathe.
From a true masterpiece to a starter’s kit, reborning baby dolls could be a lucrative hobby for many home crafters. In fact there are now many famous artists in this industry who sell their creations for thousands of dollars. However, should you choose to just keep it as a hobby you’ll want to enter slowly into the craft and investigate the many tools, paints and enhancements available in the marketplace.
