Last February was Bereunger Doll month and the following April brought something altogether different to Angel Supply. We celebrated a “Doll A Day” where every single day we showcased a new reborn, a special technique or a gifted doll artist.

Favorite Reborn Doll: January 2012

Reborning News: March 2011

Some of the lifelike dolls you’re about to see are so realistic they make passersby do a double take. In fact it was reported that in Australia last year, police officers smashed a car window parked on the road to rescue an unconscious baby from a locked vehicle. The baby in question was a reborn doll. The same happened in America in 2009.

Before you start thinking that the police in either country weren’t too bright you’ll have to see some of these creations. From their skin tone to their micro-rooted hair (done with special tools and techniques), a perfectly proportioned and weighted body, these babies not only look and feel real they also breathe.

From a true masterpiece to a starter’s kit, reborning baby dolls could be a lucrative hobby for many home crafters. In fact there are now many famous artists in this industry who sell their creations for thousands of dollars. However, should you choose to just keep it as a hobby you’ll want to enter slowly into the craft and investigate the many tools, paints and enhancements available in the marketplace.
