A common type of puzzle you may have found are "puzzle of the hidden word "(sometimes known as" puzzles "or" mystery word puzzle "). The aim of these is to find the words hidden within a grid of letters. Words can start at any position on the grid and exit in any direction straight line included in position horizontal (either forward or backward), vertical (downward or upward), or any diagonal direction.
While the objective of such puzzles is easy to understand, however, their solution can be a challenge. The apparent simplicity of these puzzles tend to make them particularly attractive to children who is a good thing, because these puzzles can introduce children to new words and also help them learn the spelling of words they already know.
